A Look into the Night Life of Calgary

Nightlife is a collective term for entertainment – something that is usually available at sundown.  Nightlife, of course, is more adult-oriented, but is not exclusively just for the adults.  There are ways where families can go out and enjoy the night scenery that the city has to offer.  There are cinemas and theaters to go to as well as fun and entertainment places like bowling alleys and miniature golf course just to name a few.  There are literally many things to do in Calgary in night time.  Night life in Calgary is definitely a spectacle that every person who visits the city should get to experience at least once in their lifetime.

Calgary night life is great.  If you fancy drinking beer, there are fancy beer pubs where you can enjoy craft beer, said to be the most delectable beer in the world.  Even if you do not fancy drinking booze at bars and pubs, there are literally many entertainment venues you can go to where you can get entertained.  The list below shows just some of the things you can do in Calgary at night:

Yuk Yuk’s Comedy Club – this is literally one of Calgary’s most popular comedy clubs where you can get to enjoy a laugh or two.  There are weekly comedians who grace the stage from Canada’s National stand-up comedy chain.  Whether their gags are funny or not, at least you get to enjoy your dinner with some show packages.  The service here is very decent and there is also free underground parking for those arriving with their own automotive vehicle.

Hop In Brew Pub – if you are into pubs, dive bars, pizza, or billiards, then this brew pub is certainly for you.  Open from 4pm to 1am during Mondays thru Thursdays, and 6pm to 2am on Fridays and Saturdays, you will definitely love the ambiance of the pub here, not to mention the good selection of beer you can order.  Seating is very limited and they also fill up fast.  If you want to go here, it is best to go in early.

The Blues Can – this is Calgary’s best destination for live blues music.  Dining here is exquisite as they serve Cajun cuisine classics like blackened catfish po’ boy as well as New Orleans-style pork ribs.  Available seven nights a week, performers at the club ranges from local seasoned blues veterans to some of the best touring acts around.

Elbow River Casino – this casino provides guests with a wide range of gaming and entertainment.  The three restaurant lounges has buffer, deli, and sports bar.  On Fridays at the casino’s Bayou Stage, live rock and blues shows are performed by different bands for guests of the casino to enjoy.   If you are into gaming, you will definitely love it here as the Elbow River Casino’s 80,000 square feet of entertainment facility is equipped with more than 600 slot machines along with Vegas-style table games and round the clock poker room.  Visitors here will surely enjoy the pleasant ambiance and warm elegance of the entertainment facility.
